Laser tattoo removal

Enlighten 3™ nanosecond and picosecond laser technology with three wavelengths (1064 nm, 532 nm, 670 nm) for tattoo removal.

For whom is the Enlighten 3™ nano/picosecond laser treatment intended?

The Enlighten 3™ laser treatment is intended for patients who wish to remove dark or multi-coloured tattoos of all sizes.
This device is safe and effective for all skin types including dark or black skin.
Its nanosecond technology is used for the first few sessions when the tattoo is still dense, which allows the ink to disintegrate into smaller particles.
*Its picosecond technology with 3 high-energy wavelengths helps treat the light-coloured tattoos, including the so-called “ghost tattoos” with shadows thanks to the traditional “Q-Switched” laser treatment

What sets the new Enlighten 3™ laser tattoo removal technology apart from previous technologies? How does nano/pico second laser treatment work on tattoos?

In order to effectively treat amateur and/or professional tattoos, the laser beam used must for deep penetration of the skin and with sufficient power to fragment the ink molecules. The Enlighten 3™ technology, which combines nano and picoseconds, targets the pigment more efficiently and allows the body to remove it more rapidly and naturally.
Its third wavelength of 670 nm that is only present in this system treats light green and blue colours.
*The Enlighten 3™ laser allows for faster and more efficient treatment of dark tattoos and multiple colours compared to “Q-switched” lasers. For most patients, the number of sessions required is halved and the final result is more comprehensive.

How many sessions are needed to fully remove the tattoo?
The number of sessions depends on several factors including:
• the colours of the tattoo
• the intensity and chemical composition of the tattoo
• its size
• its location on the body
• the speed and the variable ease with which the body of each person allows the pigment to be removed.

How does the tattoo react to the treatment session?

Using a laser beam can cause “frosting” i.e. temporary whitening for a few minutes, especially observed during the first sessions, often a sign of a good clinical reaction.
There may also be micro-bleeding followed by mild temporary oedema in the treated area.
The pigments then tend to come out of skin and give a darker shade to the tattoo for a few days.
It is advisable to apply healing creams, prescribed at the first consultation, and a non-adhesive bandage till the area is fully healed.
To prevent the risk of infections, bathing is contraindicated unless the area is treated with occlusive dressing.
The healing process usually takes 7 to 10 days.
Exposure of the treated area to sunlight is discouraged in the month following a session. After 1 month, with no sign of significant inflammation and with the approval of the practitioner, the treated area can be exposed with an SPF 50+ protection index.
If the pigments used by the tattoo artist contain metals, the tattoo may change colour after the first treatment. In the next session, a setting of the device will specifically treat the new colour.
Treatment results may vary from person to person and are therefore not guaranteed.
Thus, they do not bind the members of the company, its staff, or even any third party.

Can I get a tattoo done on the treated area?

It is entirely possible to get a tattoo on treated area.
The number of sessions needed is then lesser and we can leave it up to the tattoo artist to assess whether the tattoo is sufficiently removed to perform his “cover” work.
For a tattoo of equal size and quality, the Enlighten™ nano/pico second laser treats more efficiently and therefore requires fewer sessions than traditional technologies.

Is the Enlighten 3™ tattoo removal treatment painful? What is the healing time? Are there any side effects?

The discomfort associated with the Enlighten™ laser tattoo removal treatment is significantly reduced under cold air propulsion by the Zimmer system.
Patients experience a feeling of pinching, tugging or burning of varying intensity during the session. The average duration of a session is 3 to 15 minutes. After treatment, the skin reacts as it would to a sunburn and can develop micro-crusts, small blisters and subsequently peel off. A repair cream must be applied in the following days and sun protection of the treated area is required at all times during the treatment.

How much does the Enlighten 3™ tattoo removal treatment cost?

The cost of the treatment will be estimated during a preliminary session which is completely free of charge. The total cost of treatment depends on the size of the tattoo to be treated as well as the number of sessions needed for its removal. Treatments are available from 150 Euros/session.

The results of treatments may vary from one person to another and are therefore not guaranteed.
Therefore, they represent no binding commitment on the part of the office, the personnel or any third party.
