Vascular laser (Thermocoagulation)
Espace Medical Braffort possesses modern thermocoagulation equipment, the "TC 3000", for treating various vascular injuries:
- couperosis
- erythrosis
- rosacea
- naevus vascularis
- red spots
- teleangiectasia
- spider veins on the legs
Couperosis is a misleading disease because patients initially tend to confuse it with sunburn or acne and only have it treated in its later stages.
Further, although it can have an impact on all photo types, the disease is most common among people with a light hue, who blush easily.
This unpleasant disease can have an impact on the quality of a patient's social life.
Although rosacea cannot be cured permanently, it can be restricted and vascular injuries can be reduced considerably.
Precautionary measures also need to be taken against aggravating factors (sport, heat, cold, hot food, emotions).
The treatment generally consists of 2 to 3 sessions, with an interval of 3 to 6 weeks between each treatment.
The treatment is performed using a very fine needle, which is placed through the skin until the blood vessel. Heat is supplied at a very high frequency to thermocoagulate the varicosity. The doctor will not use any chemical products that resist allergic reactions or side-effects.
Post-treatment follow-up is very simple.
There is no need to use a bandage or compression bandage after the session.
Slight redness that disappears within 48 hours.
Small, fine scratches on the legs, that disappear within 2 to 3 weeks.
It is recommended to apply a cream with vitamin K, like Auriderm™ XO, for 5 or 6 days after the session.
Thermocoagulation is often combined with IPL (intense pulse light) to optimise the treatment of rosacea.
During the consultation, the doctor responsible for the laser treatment will inform the patient about the most suitable treatment for his/her specific skin type, in combination with one or multiple additional techniques.
The results of treatments may vary from one person to another and are therefore not guaranteed.
Therefore, they represent no binding commitment on the part of the office, the personnel or any third party.
